Asus Eee PC 1008P gets dual core chip in Germany

Asus is rather inconsistent when it comes to upgrading its computers. Look at this, the US-spec Eee PC 1008P Karim Rashid Edition netbook is still equipped with a single core 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, while the same model in Germany has got an upgrade in the form of the dual-core Intel Atom N550 chip. The upgraded, new Eee PC 1008P is shipping from Amazon Germany for a price of 399 Euros.  You can fetch one for yourself with a pink or brown lid.

However there is no news still on when the US-spec model will get the dual core chip.
