Asus 13.3-inch Zacate E-450 U32U Ultraportable due early next year
According to a report from Blogeee.net Asus are all set to launch a new mini laptop called the U32U-RX011R in the early half of 2012. This model will be powered by Windows 7 Home Basic version and might be targeting the casual users those are interested in getting a machine for surfing the web, watching videos and some other basic tasks.
This laptop will be featuring a 13.3inch screen and will be equipped with AMD’s Zacate E-450 APU, which is an update for the E-350. AMD’s Zacate is a dual core processor with a 1.65GHz and is also combined with an HD Radeon 6320 graphics which helps in providing a better video performance along with providing the users with a better gaming experience.
The display of the laptop will be capable of providing a resolution of 1366 X 768 pixels which comes with a matte finish. The device has a 2GB RAM which is extendable up to 4GB while for storage it has 320 or 500 GB HDD as options.
Other specifications include a total of three USB ports of which two are USB 3.0, an HDMI port, card reader and audio jack. It also includes Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-Fi.
Besides all these features the laptop is also considered to be coming with a better power management and probably it will be providing a battery life of around 12 hours. By the way if it also provides a life of around 10 hours in real life we can consider it as a high battery life compared to other laptops.
Though the exact date of release is not yet revealed but the Windows 7 model will be priced at $509 and the basic DOS model will be offered at $449. The device will probably be launched during CES in early January next year.
