Android 3.1 update for Iconia A500 leaked

Teaser
Official 3.1 update leaked at XDA-developers forum

Acer’s German Facebook page previously informed us that the Iconia A500 tablet would be receiving Android 3.1 on the 5th of July, and now it seems as if the official update is unofficially making rounds across the web.

As always, the leaked ROM comes courtesy of the XDA-developers forum, this time via the user lovewings. Although the leak comes from China, it has been confirmed that it includes multi-language support and Google apps. Similar to the official 3.1 update, the leaked firmware adds enhanced hardware support and interface tweaks to the A500, and has already been rooted and customized by XDA developers.

In case you can’t wait till the 5th for the official OTA (over-the-air) update, then head on over to the XDA forums and grab it for yourself. However, there’s never any guarantee when it comes to non-official channels, and you might be better off waiting for something concrete from the folks at Acer.
