Affordable Panther Lake RedmiBook refresh leaks ahead of official announcement

Xiaomi's Book Pro 14 recently became official in China. It stands as a good choice for those who are looking for a thin and light laptop, and it seems that Xiaomi will be offering affordable options soon, at least that's what the recent report from Digital Station suggests.

The reliable leaker shares that the company is working on 14-inch and 16-inch versions of a RedmiBook laptop. While the leaker didn't share a detailed spec sheet, the report mentions that there will be a Core Ultra X7 358H configuration available. This is a very capable Panther Lake processor with the very capable Intel Arc B390 iGPU.

Xiaomi will reportedly offer this configuration of the laptop with up to 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. Digital Chat Station further reports that the Panther Lake RedmiBook laptop will be available with the Core Ultra 5 325 and 338H processor options as well.

Among the two, the Core Ultra 5 325 is an entry-level option that will help keep the upcoming RedmiBook laptop's starting price in an affordable range. The Core Ultra 5 338H configuration of the laptop will also stand as a capable option, as this processor brings the capable Arc B370 iGPU.

Digital Chat Station mentions that these two starting configurations will be offered at a better price than the upper-end configuration. It's worth noting that the Xiaomi Book Pro 14 is being offered with the same processor options, and in China, it starts at CNY 7,999, around $1,161 (available to import for $1,476.77 from TradingShenzhen).

Given that Redmi-branded devices tend to be more affordable than Xiaomi-branded counterparts, the Panther Lake RedmiBook could have a starting price that's under CNY 7,999. The probable launch timeline for the laptop is late April 2026.
