Acer releases new 15-inch gaming laptop internationally with 165 Hz display

Acer has started selling a new 15-inch laptop across the Eurozone and in the UK. Specifically, the company has introduced a new version of the Nitro V 15. To recap, we reviewed the Nitro V 15 earlier this year with the Core i5-13420H and Nvidia's GeForce RTX 5050 laptop GPU (curr. $889 on Amazon).
For the time being, this version shows no sign of going anywhere. Nonetheless, Acer has released alternatives powered by the Core 9 270H. A Raptor Lake Refresh processor, the Core 9 270H contains twice as many Gracemont E-Cores as the Core i5-13420H. Additionally, Intel includes 6 Raptor Cove P-Cores for a total of 14 cores and 20 threads compared to the 8 cores and 12 threads inside the Core i5-13420H. Please see our benchmarks for comparisons between the two processors.
The newer Nitro V 15 also comes with a 165 Hz and 1080p IPS display to match the 16:9 and 15.6-inch panel we tested in February. Likewise, Acer continues to limit the GeForce RTX 5050 and GeForce RTX 5060 to 75 W TDPs. Moreover, the latest Nitro V 15 retains a 76 Wh battery, 512 GB of PCIe Gen 4 storage and 16 GB of DDR4 RAM.
Nonetheless, Core 9 270H variants start at £1,699 in the UK and €1,799-€1,899 in the Eurozone. At the time of writing, Acer charges €100 extra for a GeForce RTX 5060. As a result, the Nitro V 15 can cost up to €1,999 in parts of the Eurozone. There is no word on pricing or availability in other markets yet.
