Acer launches the Aspire 4755G notebook

Teaser
The new laptop will reportedly come with a Sandy Bridge chip and a 2GB NVIDIA GPU

The Taiwan-based PC manufacturer Acer has supposedly just introduced a new member to its Aspire Series of portable computers. The 4755G model should satisfy your everyday computing needs and reportedly features a stylish “stripy pattern” design complemented by a powerful CPU and plenty of graphics memory that can either be used for watching HD movies or playing high-end games.

Configuration

This notebook emerges just a week after the Aspire 5755 was revealed and is apparently equipped with a 14-inch CineCrystal LED-backlit HD widescreen display. Furthermore, customers will be provided with up to a second generation Intel Core i7-2630QM central processing unit for running demanding applications including high-end games. The chip has four cores clocked at 2.0GHz (can be increased up to 2.9GHz via Turbo Boost 2.0), supports Intel’s Hyper-Threading (8 threads) technology and incorporates the Intel HD 3000 graphics controller that utilizes dynamically allocated shared video memory.

The Acer Aspire 4755G will reportedly offer 4GB of internal DDR3 RAM (upgradeable to 8GB) and a spacious 750GB mechanical hard drive for storing files and apps. Apart from the aforementioned integrated Intel video card, this model also sports a discrete NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M (DirectX 11, Shader 5.0) GPU with 2GB of dedicated GDDR5 VRAM. A DVD Burner (or an optional Blu-Ray drive) is also part of the standard configuration.

Connectivity

Users will presumably be able to keep in touch with family, friends and colleagues thanks to the built-in Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and LAN modules. In addition, the latest Aspire notebook packs one USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI interface, a memory card reader slot and Acer’s clear.fi technology.

An integrated high-definition Crystal Eye web camera will apparently take care of your video conferencing needs.

Other specs and Pricing

The laptop will reportedly ship pre-loaded with a Microsoft Windows 7 operating system. Moreover, it sports a 6-cell battery and will be available in Copper Brown, Onyx Black, Olive Green and Cranberry Red.

Further features include a FineTip chicklet keyboard with larger keys for a “more comfortable typing experience”, a multi-touch enabled touchpad and Dolby Advanced v2 Audio. Unfortunately, there is still no pricing information.
