Sheer Mulitmedia in 15.6 inches Already at first sight, the Acer Aspire 5935G's designated application field was obvious. This does not only apply to the design, which pleases with typical multimedia control elements. No, also the other components are completely orientated on this field, for instance the glossy display in 16:9 cinematic format, the BluRay drive option and the Dolby surround audio system with subwoofer.

The Acer Aspire 5935 is aimed at those folk who don't just want a laptop that's all work and no play. In addition to packing enough grunt to chew through productivity applications, it's also equipped to keep you happily entertained when you've finished working for the day. The Aspire 593's hybrid graphics means you're not wasting battery life when you don't need accelerated graphics, and the laptop's overall performance was impressive. However, it's not cheap: £1100 is a lot to pay for a 15in laptop these days, even one with a Blu-ray drive.

Acer's Aspire range does more than most to turn the everyday task of using a laptop into a true entertainment experience. Touch buttons, media control panels, proper speakers and plenty of lights and whooshes ensure they often feel more like a cockpit than computer. Some nice media touches, but the keyboard is a bit iffy and it'll need to come down in price

Acer: In 1976, the company was founded in Taiwan under the name Multitech and was renamed Acer or Acer Group in 1987. The product range includes, for example, laptops, tablets, smartphones, desktops, monitors, TVs and computer peripherals. Since 2007, the group has merged with Gateway Inc. and Packard Bell, which also market their own laptop product lines.
Acer computers are designed for a variety of purposes, including ultrabooks for mobile use, gaming laptops for gamers, affordable options for everyday tasks, and 2-in-1 convertible laptops for versatility. Acer's product portfolio also includes tablets that offer portable computing and multimedia capabilities.
Non demanding games should be playable with these graphics cards.
NVIDIA GeForce GT 130M: The GeForce GT 130M is a higher clocked GeForce 9650M GT with a slightly lower TDP (level of the 9600M GT). The performance differs according to the used type of memory (DDR3 up to 1066 MHz and DDR up to 600 MHz). PhysX is only supported in an SLI configuration.
NVIDIA GeForce GT 240M: The GeForce GT 240M is the successor of the GT 130M / 9600M and has now 48 instead of 32 shader cores. Therefore, the performance should be noticeable better. Because of the 40nm process, the TDP is still 23 Watt.

Intel Core 2 Duo: This is the Core Duo and Core Solo successor with a longer pipeline and 5-20% more speed without more power consumption. As an addition to the Core Duo design there exists a fourth decoder, an amplified SSE-unit and an additional arithmetical logical unit (ALU).
The Core 2 Duo for laptops is identical to the desktop Core 2 Duo processors but the notebook-processors work with lower voltages (0.95 to 1188 Volt) and a lower Frontside bus clock (1066 vs 667 MHz). The performance of equally clocked notebooks is 20-25% lower than Desktop PCs because of the lower Frontside bus clock and the slower hard disks.
T9550:
The T9550 is a middle class dual-core CPU of the Core 2 Duo line and similar to the P9600 (except for the higher TDP of the T9550 - 35 vs 25 W). The performance of the T9550 should be sufficient for most applications and games of 2009.
T6600: Entry level Core 2 Duo dual core processor with a small 2MB level 2 cache and without virtualization functions.

3 kg:
With this weight, a laptop is rather heavier than average. Devices in this range shine more with screen size and performance than with mobility.
3.07 kg:
A laptop with this weight is comparatively heavy and less designed for mobility than for use at the desk. Therefore, the devices tend to shine less with battery life than with a large screen and higher performance.
72.67%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
