AMD-powered 15.3-inch gaming laptop releases with 2.5K 240Hz display, 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD

Mechrevo, also known as Mechrevo Wujie in China, has listed another configuration of its Unbounded 15X Blizzard Gaming Edition laptop.

The laptop features a 15.3-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels and a 240Hz refresh rate. The panel covers 100% of the sRGB color space and has a rated brightness of 500 nits. It also supports DC dimming and has a matte anti-glare finish. The hinge allows the screen to open up to 180 degrees.

The laptop uses an AMD Ryzen AI 9 H 365 processor with 10 cores and 20 threads. It has a boost frequency of up to 5GHz and integrated Radeon 880M graphics. Users can choose between three performance modes: 25W, 45W and 65W. The cooling system uses two parallel heat pipes. The “Blizzard” name refers to this cooling design.

Mechrevo provides 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD. The laptop also has expansion slots for memory and storage upgrades.

Mechrevo includes an 80Wh battery and a 100W GaN power adapter that supports its own fast-charging technology. The laptop weighs around 1.68 kg (3.70 lb) and has a full-metal body.

The keyboard includes a numeric keypad, full-height arrow keys and single-zone RGB backlighting, with 1.4mm key travel. Other features include an IR webcam with a physical privacy feature and Nahimic-certified audio.

Connectivity options include USB4, a USB Type-C port with 100W PD 3.0 support, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, USB 2.0, HDMI 2.1, Gigabit Ethernet and a 3.5mm audio combo jack. A security lock slot is also included.

The same processor and graphics combination is available in the Asus Zenbook S 16 OLED, which we reviewed previously. Asus pairs it with 24GB of memory and a 120Hz OLED display. The Mechrevo has a faster-refreshing IPS panel and expandable memory. The MSI Prestige A16 AI+ is another option with the same processor and graphics, but it comes with 32GB of RAM.
