The Samsung Exynos 7 Octa is a 64-bit SoC for mainstream smartphones and tablets (usually Android based). It was announced in February 2016 and integrates eight Cortex-A53 cores, which are manufactured in a modern 14-nm process. Compared to the previous 28-nm-SoCs, the performance was increased and the power consumption is 30 % lower according to Samsung. The integrated LZE Cat.6 modem reaches transfer rates of up to 300 Mbps (downstream) and 50 Mbps (upstream). The dual-channel memory controller supports LPDDR3-1866 RAM.
The integrated graphics adapter is an ARM Mali-T830 MP1 (core clock of 700 MHz according to Wikipedia). Besides OpenGL ES 3.2, it also supports OpenCL 1.2 as well as DirectX 11 (FL 9_3). The performance is sufficient for common Android games from 2016 at medium details.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) is a ARM based mid-range SoC for tablets and smartphones (mostly Android based). It was announced in Dec. 2013 and was the first 64-Bit SoC by Qualcomm. It integrates four ARM Cortex-A53 (quad-core) processor cores, a Adreno 306 graphics card, a 64 Bit LPDDR2/3 memory controller and WLAN, Bluetooth, and UMTS/LTE radio.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 (SD435) is a lower mainstream SoC for (Android based) smartphones and tablets. Contrary to the Snapdragon 630, it is still manufactured in a 28-nm process and also consists of an octa-core CPU part with ARM Cortex-A53 cores. However, they are only clocked at up to 1.4 GHz. The integrated X9 LTE modem supports Cat. 4 with maximum transfer rates of 300 Mbps (downstream) and 100 Mbps (upstream). The SoC also includes an Adreno 505 GPU with support for Vulkan and OpenGL ES 3.1. WiFi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.1 are supported as well. The memory controller supports LPDDR3 clocked at 800 MHz (so probably dual-channel DDRL-1600). The main difference to the Snapdragon 430 is the faster LTE modem.
