7.85" iPad Mini mockup displayed on video

Now that the iPhone 5 has made its big debut, all eyes are awaiting Apple's next great offering. Rumors have been swirling a while with regards to a smaller iPad, and the Japanese blog Macotakara is now showing off a mockup of the device.

In a video posted by the blog, a $13 mockup is displayed complete with a lightning bolt connector and 5 rows of icons on the front screen. Obviously the device is only a guess at best, but it does mesh well with what we've previously heard about the device.

Apple has yet to invite members of the press to any sort of event anywhere in the world, but a Christmas availability for the device would not be out of the realm of possibility. In addition, it had been previously reported that the official announcement would be coming sometime in October, and that remains the most likely date.
