Deal | 2TB SanDisk SSD Plus discounted by 49% on Amazon
In times when large applications and games like Call of Duty Warzone occupy an absurd amount of space, many gamers and PC users in general are looking to upgrade the paltry internal storage of their current computer. Traditional 2.5-inch SATA SSDs are well-suited as secondary expansion drives, and fittingly, one of the most prominent SanDisk products in this category has now been put on sale as part of Amazon's latest SSD deal.
More specifically, the leading online retailer is currently selling the 2TB model of the popular SanDisk SSD Plus for US$116.99 including free shipping. According to Camelcamelcamel, this huge US$113 or 49 percent discount in relation to the original MSRP results in Amazon's lowest price to date, and the 2.5-inch SATA SSD has been sold for an average of US$175 thus far. Alternatively, this deal for the 2TB SanDisk SSD Plus is also available at WD's official online shop as well as Office Depot.
As already mentioned, the SanDisk SSD Plus is a rather ordinary SATA drive that can reach sequential read speeds of up to 545 megabytes per second, while sequential writing takes place at up to 450 MB/s. This drive also relies on TLC flash modules and an SLC cache, but it should be noted that due to recent price drops, much faster M.2 SSDs with 2TB of capacity are already available at similar or even lower prices. Nevertheless, this deal may be worth consideration for owners of a desktop PC or older laptop who only have a 2.5-inch bay available for their storage upgrade.
