We did get a chance to test the laptop ourselves, and our in-depth review pointed out plenty of positives. The 16-core Intel Core Ultra X7 358H CPU is an impressive part, promising excellent multi-core performance.

We noticed a roughly 47% improvement compared to its Core Ultra 9 288V-powered predecessor, putting the Panther Lake chip within 5% of Apple's powerful 10-core M5 SoC found in the MacBook Air (currently $1,139 on Amazon).

In clearer terms, the vast majority of daily workloads, and occasional intensive workloads such as photo and video editing should be perfectly doable on the system.

The Arc B390 iGPU is a genuinely powerful unit, granting the Swift 16 laptop a 61% lead over its predecessor's Arc 140V. Some lightweight AAA gaming at modest settings is definitely on the table.

We were also quite pleased with the laptop's 16-inch 2,880 x 1,800 OLED display with 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut and superb color accuracy, making the panel well-suited for not just content consumption, but creation as well.
