Earlier this month, Apple introduced four new iPhone models: the iPhone Air, iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Now, a new leak has surfaced online regarding the iPhone 18 lineup.
Writing on Weibo, prominent leaker Digital Chat Station revealed that the engineering prototype of the iPhone 18 Pro has a rectangular camera housing. Additionally, the camera arrangement remains identical to the 17 Pro models. However, the leak hints that the rear panel’s glass section features a subtle transparent finish. Do note that the final design for the phone can differ, as this information is based on an early prototype.
Reportedly, the phone may feature a stainless steel vapor chamber. The display sizes for the iPhone 18 Pro models are said to remain unchanged. Accordingly, the iPhone 18 Pro is expected to have a 6.3-inch display, and the 18 Pro Max may have a 6.9-inch display.
Furthermore, the tipster suggests that the iPhone 18e is part of current production plans, but the standard iPhone 18 may get postponed. This is not the first time we have heard about the iPhone 18’s postponement. Earlier in April, a report suggested that Apple may launch the iPhone 18 Pro series in September 2026. Meanwhile, the vanilla iPhone 18 and more affordable iPhone 18e may launch in early 2027.
At the time of writing, Apple has not confirmed its next smartphones. Hence, the above information should be taken with a pinch of salt.
