Xiaomi is now broadening the rollout of Android 10 to the Mi 8, having begun rolling out the OS upgrade to its former flagship last month. The latest update, V11.0.3.0.QEAMIXM, weighs in at 1.9 GB and introduces a few other fixes, too.

The Mi 8 may now be two generations old, but Xiaomi has not forgotten about the device yet. Brought onto Android 10 builds of MIUI 11 globally last month with V11.0.1.0.QEAMIXM, Xiaomi apparently only pushed that build to handsets in batches. Now, the Chinese company has replaced V11.0.1.0, with Piunikaweb noting that the newer build is being rolled out more widely.

Called V11.0.3.0.QEAMIXM, the new update has only gone live for the Global branch of MIUI 11. By contrast, the Chinese branch is already on Android 10 builds of V11.0.6.0. The changelog for V11.0.3.0 contains broadly the same fixes and changes as V11.0.1.0 did, for reference.

The 1.9 GB download will arrive as an OTA. If you have not received a notification and want to download the build now, then you can download it from Xiaomi's servers. While you should be able to flash it through Recovery, you may need to use TWRP, a requisite for which is having an unlocked bootloader. The changelog for V11.0.3.0.QEAMIXM is as follows:

System

  • Stable MIUI based on Android 10

Status bar, Notification shade

  • Fix: Couldn’t open notification settings in the Notification shade in Second space
  • Fix: Couldn’t open the Notification shade in some cases

Other

  • Fix: Images overlapped in scrolling screenshots
