Xiaomi Mi Max spotted at TENAA
Images of the Xiaomi Mi Max have leaked on multiple occasions in the past few weeks including one of its front panel fresh from a production facility. Now, images and specifications from the Chinese telecommunications regulatory agency TENAA have all but confirmed that the Mi Max is on track for an imminent launch.
Core specifications include:
- 6.44-inch 1080p display
- Hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 SoC (2x 1.8 GHz Cortex-A72 cores + 4x 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53 cores)
- Integrated Adreno 510 GPU
- 2 GB or 3 GB RAM (depending on SKU)
- 16 MP rear + 5 MP front cameras
- 4000 mAh battery
A fingerprint sensor will be included on the back of the device with the MIUI 8 software running on top Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The RAM differences suggest that multiple versions of the Mi Max will be made available.
Xiaomi CEO Leu June released a series of promotional images and teasers of the phablet through his Weibo page ahead of the official announcement. The lower-end 2 GB SKU is expected to come with 16 GB of internal storage space and sell for roughly 175 Euros.
