Xbox Game Pass: Three games across three genres coming this week
After adding the action roguelike 33 Immortals to Game Pass on March 18, Microsoft has revealed the lineup for the second half of the month. This week brings three new titles, which we’ve summarized below.
Octopath Traveler II - March 19
Octopath Traveler II is a classic JRPG set in the world of Solistia, where players embark on a journey with eight unique characters. You begin by choosing a main protagonist but can recruit the others over time, experiencing their individual stories. Combat revolves around the Break & Boost system, where exploiting enemy weaknesses can break their defenses, allowing for devastating boosted attacks. A new addition is the Latent Powers – powerful abilities that can quickly turn the tide of battle. Beyond the main storylines, crossover quests bring two characters together for shared missions, strengthening their connections. The open world encourages exploration, whether through optional side quests, hidden dungeons or secondary professions that grant new abilities.
Train Sim World 5 - March 19
Train Sim World 5 is a highly detailed train simulation that lets players operate various locomotives on accurately recreated railway lines from around the world. The handling and driving physics vary depending on whether you're controlling a high-speed train, a commuter service or a heavy freight locomotive. A dynamic weather system adds to the challenge by affecting driving conditions. A new key feature is the free mode, allowing players to create custom timetables and scenarios. Beyond official routes, the game offers numerous challenges, including career scenarios that test precision and punctuality.
Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island - March 20
In the laid-back exploration adventure Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island, players find themselves stranded on a mysterious island inhabited by forgetful gods from Greek mythology. As a lost traveler, you explore the open world, gather clues and help the deities regain their memories. At the core of the game is a friendship system, where interactions, gifts and puzzle-solving strengthen your bonds with the gods, gradually revealing their stories. The island is filled with hidden locations to discover, while dynamic weather and a shifting time of day enhance the atmosphere. With its charming comic book-style visuals, Mythwrecked delivers a unique and visually appealing adventure.
