Doogee has released a new smartphone called the V Max S. The Chinese manufacturer has specialized in rugged smartphones, some of which can be found for under $200 on Amazon. The new Doogee V Max S is no exception in terms of toughness, as it features IP68, IP69K and MIL-STD-810H certifications and has two prominent flashlights on the back. These are said to offer a peak brightness of 1,200 lumens and should be well-suited for illuminating larger areas during camping or other outdoor activities. The brightness can be adjusted, and strobe and SOS modes are available.
In order to make sure that the flashlight and phone itself can be used for longer periods of time, the V Max S is equipped with a gigantic 22,000mAh battery, which can be charged with up to 33 watts. In terms of dimensions, the smartphone is very large and heavy as it measures 7 x 3.3 x 1 inches and weighs a whopping 1.2 lbs. The remaining specifications are certainly not cutting-edge, but the Doogee smartphone is powered by a 5G-capable MediaTek Dimensity 7050 with 8GB of memory.
Meanwhile, the internal mass storage has a capacity of 256GB and can be expanded via microSD if users can sacrifice the second SIM slot. The 6.58-inch IPS display has a resolution of 2408 x 1080 pixels and a fast refresh rate of 120Hz. In addition to the 108MP main camera, the rugged smartphone has a 20MP night vision camera and countless other outdoor-centric features. The Doogee V Max S is now available for $479 directly from the manufacturer, but the coupon "VMAXS50" grants a $50 early bird discount.
