The Android 10 rollout for the Nokia 6.2 has begun; rollout for Nokia 7.2 expanded too
Android 10 is finally here for the Nokia 6.2. A quarter late, the OS upgrade features the April 2020 security patch, along with general Android 10 features like a system-wide dark mode. HMD Global has called the update V2.290 and recommends downloading it over Wi-Fi rather than a mobile network connection as it is a 1.54 GB download.
Before you go rushing to see whether your Nokia 6.2 has received a notification to download Android 10, please note that HMD Global is distributing the update in waves. According to a post on Nokia Community forums, the update will be available to 10% of units sold in the countries listed below as of today and 50% by May 1. HMD Global hopes to have finished the first wave by May 3, after which it will then start rolling out Android 10 to the Nokia 6.2 in other markets.
The same applies to the Nokia 7.2 While we reported at the start of April that HMD Global had started issuing Android 10 to the device, it has taken a few weeks for the upgrade to reach US handsets. If you do not fancy waiting several weeks to experience Android 10 on your Nokia 6.2 then you can download the 1.54 GB OTA directly. The update can be downloaded from here, which is hosted on Google's servers. The first wave of countries to receive Android 10 for the Nokia 6.2 are as follows:
