Steam offers a free game with online co-op mode for a limited time

Mini Thief is currently free on Steam, but this $0 game deal will remain active for a limited time. To be specific, users can claim it until January 24 UTC 17:00. After that, it will return to its original $4.99 tag. Of course, this isn't the only free game that you can grab this week.

As we've already covered, Epic Games Store is giving away Escape Academy, a fun puzzle game with good reviews. The Steam free game on the spotlight, however, isn't received that well by players. It has a "Mixed" review, but the title does have some good highlights.

At the core, Mini Thief is a stealth game where players get to play as a master thief. The primary objective is to burgle through houses and collect valuable items, which can later be exchanged for money. It has various levels, each of them with increasing difficulty.

These levels have a mix of challenges. For example, the security placements are different, and there are randomized patrols, which makes this current free game on Steam somewhat replayable. To pass through each level, players need to utilize various strategies and tools, such as using distractions and hiding in wardrobes.

Another notable aspect of Mini Thief is the co-op mode. A second player can join in the heist, which brings a new dynamic to the gameplay. While all these sound good, this currently free game on Steam is criticized for random bugs that are left unfixed for a good amount of time.
