Samsung shows what flexible tablets can do

Teaser
A video released shows the future of the tablets or the smartphones with transparency and flexibility

With the recent development in technology we might think of transparency of the tablets can be made possible in some future tablets. As the Samsung’s Mobile Display division has taken some time off from creating rollable bendable AMOLED panels to design a concept video of what the transparent, flexible tablet of the future might look like.

The video shows some exciting features of the future devices as our Smartphone will unfold to do the functions of the tablets with transparent sheet being used to frame photos, enable argument reality style translation and Geo-location services and show gesture-controlled digital magazines.

Well this is really a long way from what we have today but Samsung the Korean Company is expected to launch its first flexible-display AMOLED products in 2012. As according to this video this tab will be a hybrid of both tablet and Smartphone, implemented as the seamless folding screen MID / phone prototype the company revealed earlier this year.

The flexible displays are a way to improve the mobile device usability. Samsung are not the only company trying to consider a flexible display but also Nokia has gone on records claiming that a flexible phone bearing its logo is shown at Nokia World 2011. The Functioning Kinetic concept it showed at Nokia World 2011 could be around three years away.

But it seems that Samsung can still beat the rivals in the market even if they won't be able to make something like what they have described in the video they released.
