The entry-level Galaxy J series has popped up again in official documents as the SM-J5108 and and SM-J7108.

We were able to check out the Samsung Galaxy J1 and J5 2015 editions last year for review with solid performance and overall good impressions. Now, the Galaxy J5 and J7 2016 editions may be right around the corner according to these latest findings.

Leaks from tracking service Zauba.com and benchmark application GFXBench show that the Galaxy J5 2016 (SM-J510) and J7 2016 (SM-J710) are matching records from Bluetooth SIG who appear to have the SM-J7108 and SM-J5108 smartphones in possession.

The South Korean manufacturer introduced the two 2015 models in June of last year as the SM-J500 and SM-J700. A special feature of the series is the front-facing LED Flash for improved selfies. Recent rumors claim the Galaxy J5 2016 to be a 5.2-inch HD smartphone with a quad-core Snapdragon 410 SoC, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB eMMC, and 13 MP rear and 5 MP front cameras. The Galaxy J7 2016 is expected to carry a 5.5-inch FHD smartphone with potential for a Snapdragon 650 series SoC.

The mid-range Galaxy A 2016 refresh launched late last month while the flagship Galaxy S series will likely be revealed later this month. The new Galaxy J refresh may make appearances at MWC 2016 as well.
