Samsung Galaxy A52s: Specs, renders, and pricing of IP67-certified mid-ranger revealed ahead of launch
Samsung is set to launch a new mid-range phone to compete against offerings from OnePlus and Xiaomi. This new device, the Galaxy A52s, is a refresh of the Galaxy A52 5G with a focus on better performance, and its details and specs have now leaked comprehensively.
Samsung is geared to launch its next mid-range phone shortly. The device, the Galaxy A52s is an update to the Galaxy A52 5G that was released back in March. The Galaxy A52s is scheduled for a late August release and has now been leaked comprehensively.
The Galaxy A52s will sport a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ panel. While the leak doesn't specify the display's refresh rate, the regular A52 5G has a 120 Hz panel, and that should carry over here. The star of the show is the SoC under the hood, though, as it features a Snapdragon 778G, an upgrade on the Snapdragon 750G on the Galaxy A52 5G. This should see performance improvements in the region of 25%. The A52s will ship with up to 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, but that appears to be limited to 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage in most European countries.
Cameras are the same as on the Galaxy A52 5G: a 64 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultra-wide shooter, a 5 MP macro lens, and a 5 MP bokeh lens. At the front will be a 32 MP selfie shooter that's capable of 4K video recording. Other specifications include 25 W charging, a 4500 mAh battery, dual NanoSIM slots, and most interestingly, an IP67 certification for both dust and waterproofing.
The Galaxy A52s 5G will bear an MSRP of €449 and will be available in purple, black, green, and blue. As previously mentioned, release is billed for late August.
