Roborock has teased the P20 Live Water Edition robot vacuum and mop in China. This new model appeared a couple of weeks after the company unveiled the new P20 Ultra Plus robotic vacuum, which is known globally as the Qrevo Curv 2 Pro.
On the Chinese social media site Weibo, Roborock has announced the upcoming P20 Live Water Edition robot vacuum. The post states that this will be its first model to feature a roller mop, which is illustrated in the accompanying video. Historically, Roborock’s robot vacuum and mop devices have featured either a single mop head or two rotating mop heads to clean your floor.
The name of the upcoming P20 Live Water Edition suggests that there will be a continuous stream of fresh water to the mop, to prevent dirt from spreading. There also appears to be a scraping tool to remove dirt from the fabric. The rest of the features of this model have yet to be revealed. If it has similar specifications to the recently released P20 Ultra Plus, it would offer up to 25,000 Pa suction power, a retractable LDS navigation module and the AdaptiLift Chassis to climb over some obstacles. Plus, it could come with a self-cleaning docking station, washing and drying the roller mop, ready for its next use.
It is unclear when the Roborock P20 Live Water Edition robot vacuum and mop will be released in China, and how much it will cost. Details of a global rollout have also yet to surface. The company already sells older models like the Qrevo CurvX in the US, currently $1,399.99 at Amazon.
