Roborock has revealed a new range of smart lawn mowers. The brand is already known for its wet dry vacuums, cordless vacuum cleaners and robot vacuums like the Saros 10R (curr. $1,299.99 at Amazon). Now, it is also aiming to make garden maintenance easier.
At IFA 2025, Roborock unveiled three robot mowers: the RockNeo Q1, the RockMow S1 and the RockMow Z1. The entry-level RockNeo Q1 is marketed with AI-powered smart mapping, using camera-based technology to navigate your lawn without the need for a boundary wire. This is backed up by “automotive grade positioning technology”, a combination of RTK and VSLAM, which helps the robot when in shaded areas of your lawn. It can traverse areas measuring as little as 0.7 m (~2.3 ft) wide, and its larger wheels enable it to tackle slopes up to 45%. A side-mounted blade helps it to cut within 3 cm (~1.2 inches) of the edge of the grass. Plus, there are remote app-based controls, where you can set up a mowing schedule.
The professional-grade RockMow S1 shares many similarities with the Q1. However, it can tackle larger areas of up to 1,000 m² (~10,764 ft²) and also offers customized cutting heights for different zones in your garden, and can mow designs into the lawn. At the top of the range is the RockMow Z1, an all-wheel drive robot mower that can tackle steeper slopes up to 38.7° (80%). It is also said to be able to climb over obstacles up to 6 cm (~2.4 inches) tall, with an Active Steering System including dual front-wheel motors to help it move across your lawn with ease. This mower is designed for larger gardens measuring up to 5,000 m² (~53,820 ft²). Otherwise, it has similar features to the other robots in the lineup.
The Roborock RockNeo Q1, the RockMow S1 and RockMow Z1 robot lawn mowers are expected to be released later in 2025. However, an exact release date and pricing have yet to be announced.
