Retroid Dual Screen Add-On now available to pre-order with a launch discount

Retroid is now accepting pre-orders for its new accessory, the Retroid Dual Screen Add-on. The specifications and price of the accessory, which adds a second screen to compatible first-party handhelds and third-party devices, was recently revealed.

The Retroid Dual Screen Add-on has a price tag of $69, but Retroid is offering those who pre-order a $5 discount when they apply the coupon ''RDS'' at checkout, bringing the price down to $64 excluding shipping charges. However, shipping is not expected to begin until the 5th of August, 2025, so there's still a bit of waiting before you can get your hands on it.

Available in Translucent White, Black, and GC (purple), the Retroid Dual Screen Add-on has a 5.5-inch AMOLED touch display with dedicated brightness controls on the left. There's a USB-C cable that allows it to connect to a supported Retroid handheld such as the Retroid Pocket  5 (available on Amazon for $259), Retroid Pocket Mini, Retroid Pocket Mini V2, and Retroid Pocket 4 Pro.

It can also work with a third-party device that has support for DisPlayPort over USB-C and a maximum height of 115mm. Retroid specifically mentions that it isn't compatible with the Steam Deck. The accessory has a USB-C port for passthrough charging and its hinge can be adjusted to three angles — 120°, 150°, and 180°.
