The RayCue 128K Puls Universal Docking & Display Powerhouse is now available to pre-order. Designed to sit on top of a current M4-based Mac mini, the desktop accessory will also work with other laptops and Windows PCs.
The 128K Puls mimics the retro Macintosh 128K with an integrated 5-inch FHD (1,280 x 720 px) resolution touchscreen. The screen is said to act as a digital clock, a photo frame, or a mini media player. Beneath the display is its power button, alongside one USB-C 3.2 and two USB-A 3.2 ports with 10 Gbps bandwidth, and an SD and microSD 4.0 card reader.
On top of RayCue’s 128K Puls dock are dual 10 Gbps M.2 NVMe SSD slots, compatible with M Key and B&M Key SSDs in various sizes. At the rear are two more 10 Gbps USB-A ports, an HDMI input and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The device is powered via USB-C and connects to the host device via a second USB-C port.
In the US, you can pre-order the RayCue 128K Puls Universal Docking & Display Powerhouse directly from the company for the discounted price of $99.00 (RRP $119). Only 200 units are available with this launch offer, and they will ship from September 30th. The company ships worldwide, though customers will need to pay any customs fees and import duties. The accessory is also selling at Amazon Marketplace for $99.99, expected to arrive with customers in mid-October.
