Qualcomm Snapdragon 865-powered Vertu Ayxta Fold 5G available in China for over US$7,000
Those not happy with the existing foldable devices might want to check out the latest creation of the luxury brand Vertu, which is a Royole FlexPai 2 with a few design touches, a new operating system with a few Vertu-exclusive tools, and a price high enough to scare off the average Joe.
Display aside, the Vertu Ayxta Fold 5G has the same essential specs as my Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro: Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, 8 GB of memory, and 256 GB internal storage. However, the display of this foldable has no less than 7.8 inches in size. The main camera assembly has 64 MP and the selfie shooter has 32 MP. The details are somehow irrelevant because we are talking about a device that currently goes for the equivalent of almost US$7,100 (down from a regular price of ~US$15,500).
In addition to the specs above, the potential buyers might be interested in the fact that the waterOS 2.0 firmware is based on Android 10, and not Android 11. However, anyone who buys such a device is surely grabbing it as a fashion statement, not the fastest or most up-to-date foldable that money can buy. In the video below, you can check out the non-luxury Royole FlexPai 2.
