Oppo has revealed the K9, a smartphone it claims will deliver 'Super Performance'. The Oppo K9 will launch on May 6 with a 64 MP primary camera and a slim design.

Oppo has shared a teaser image of a new smartphone, which it has called the K9. Based on the image below, the Oppo K9 is a slim smartphone with a matte black flanked by glossy and curved edges. The K9 also has three rear-facing cameras that Oppo has arranged vertically.

The camera housing mentions that the K9 has a 64 MP camera, which we suspect is the one with the largest lens. If that is the case, then it will be the one furthest to the right in Oppo's teaser images. The company has not revealed any other camera details about the K9, but the left-most lens looks incredibly small compared to the other two. Hence, we suspect that this will be an auxiliary depth sensor or something like that.

The teaser image shows that the K9 has 'Super Performance' inscribed on its back, so it is conceivable that Oppo will equip it with a powerful SoC. While we doubt that the company will use a Snapdragon 888, but a Snapdragon 870 or a MediaTek equivalent is conceivable.

Oppo has confirmed that the device will support 65 W fast-charging, but it has not shown the device's display. The lack of a side or rear-mounted fingerprint scanner suggests that the K9 may have an OLED display, though. If there were a fingerprint scanner in either of these locations, it would indicate a device having an LCD, instead. The Oppo K9 will launch on May 6.
