OnePlus is expected to launch a new phone. It is said to be a compact flagship phone, expected to be called the OnePlus 13 Mini. Although there is no official information regarding the phone, there have been various leaks and rumors. Previously, the phone was tipped to have a triple rear camera setup. However, a new leak has surfaced online suggesting that the phone may come with a dual rear camera setup.
The new leak comes from a reputable tipster Digital Chat Station suggesting that the dual rear camera setup of the OnePlus 13 Mini will feature a 50MP primary sensor and a 50MP telephoto lens offering 2X optical zoom. If this turns out to be true, then the phone will be missing out on an ultra-wide angle lens.
Additionally, the tipster hints that the camera sensors may be aligned vertically in a bar-shaped housing. The company officially confirmed that the design of its upcoming phones will have a new design. Hence, the OnePlus 13 Mini may be the first one to feature the new design language.
The OnePlus 13 Mini is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. This is the same chipset used on the flagship OnePlus 13. The phone may have a screen of 6.3 inches. Instead of an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, the phone may use an optical fingerprint scanner. It is expected to have a glass back and a metal frame.
The phone may launch in Q2 2025, though it is hard to say if it will get a global release or be limited to the Chinese market.
