Vivo's typically mobile gaming-friendly sub-brand iQoo has registered a new smartphone with the Chinese authorities.
The "V2520A" is thought to launch soon as the Neo11 or 11 Pro, one of which is once again tipped to run the nearly last-gen Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite (which, as that has already featured in the Neo10 Pro+, is still confusing), while the other apparently gets the upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 9500 instead.
They are thought to be so equipped in order to provide an alternative to iQoo's supposedly impending top-end 15 at a potentially more attractive price.
The Neo11 series just might be cheaper, yet is still thought to upgrade to batteries of between 7,000mAh and 7,500mAh in size (even the mid-range 10R packs 6,400mAh on Amazon in India, after all).
The devices are also now believed to charge these enlarged batteries at up to 100W via USB-C - just like the iQoo 15 (although the latter might also have wireless charging).
The Neo11 and/or 11 Pro are also now tipped to reprise the 10 series' almost iPhone-style build, in which the flat-edged frames are made of metal and the flattened display integrates a high-end ultrasonic fingerprint reader.
On that note, both devices might have a high-quality 2K display, reportedly to be supplied by a Chinese firm such as BOE.
Finally, the world's next iQoo Neo phones might even qualify for official IP68-ratings for their water and dust resistance.
Therefore, they might be able to serve other new smartphones such as the Honor GT 2, Realme GT 8 and perhaps even those of the Vivo X300 series in late 2025.
