It seems that NVIDIA has several RTX 40 series graphics cards in development, including multiple SKUs destined for laptops. With new desktop graphics card due this autumn, NVIDIA is expected to wait until the end of the year or early 2023 before announcing Lovelace-based mobile laptop graphics cards.

PCI IDs for the upcoming NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series have emerged on The PCI ID Repository. Discovered by the likes of LaptopVideo2Go Forums and @harukaze5719, the IDs listed below represent what NVIDIA has or is currently testing. For reference, NVIDIA does not tend to include retail names in software this early, which is why most IDs contain 'NVIDIA_DEV'.

As VideoCardz points out, not all these IDs will come to market as consumer graphics cards. Still, the IDs should be traceable the closer we get to Lovelace's release. For example, there is 'NVIDIA_DEV.2684', listed as the GeForce RTX 4090. Allegedly, NVIDIA will announce this graphics card before others, which its appearance with a retail name underlines. Based on earlier rumours, the GeForce RTX 4090 will rely on a cut-down AD102 GPU with 16,384 CUDA cores and 24 GB of GDDR6X VRAM, among other features.

Additionally, there are numerous IDs for 'NVIDIA GN21-X', which could be new laptop GPU models. Although the IDs do not mention this explicitly, all Ampere laptop GPUs are 'GN20'. According to @kopite7kimi, NVIDIA has based 'GN21-X11' on the AD103 GPU, with 'GN21-X9' utilising the AD104. By contrast, the same leaker believes that 'GN21-X6' will receive the AD106, with 'GN21-X4' and 'GN21-X2' set for the AD107. Currently, NVIDIA is rumoured to announce the RTX 40 mobile series in Q4 2022 or Q1 2023. In comparison, new desktop graphics cards should debut this autumn.
