A few weeks ago, it was revealed that a special edition of the Motorola Razr 60 decked in Swarovski crystals will be announced in August. Now, Motorola has officially confirmed the launch date for China for the new smartphone, and also revealed that it will come along with a new variant of the Moto Buds Loop.
The Motorola Razr 60 Swarovski Limited Edition (a.k.a. Motorola Razr 60 Ice Diamond Limited Edition) is being touted as the first jewelry-adorned clamshell foldable smartphone. It will have a light blue vegan leather back adorned with 32 crystals. It will also have three crystals above the cover display.
According to the Motorola Weibo account, this limited edition model will be announced on August 7 during a livestream. The Motorola Razr 60 Swarovski Limited Edition is also confirmed to get a global release, although a few days earlier on August 5.
The launch date announcement also includes a short teaser video that shows the phone alongside the Moto Buds Loop in a matching color. The Moto Buds Loop was announced in April in Pantone Trekking Green and Pantone French Oak. The latter has Swarovski crystals and costs more, but unlike this new light blue variant, the French Oak variant has an Ivory White hue.
Save for the new color and the crystals, the Motorola Razr 60 Swarovski Limited Edition should be no different from the standard Razr 60 a.k.a Razr 2025 (available on Amazon for $699.99) which we reviewed and found to be a modest upgrade over its predecessor. However, there's a chance that its competitively low price will increase with the addition of the Swarovski crystals.
