Capcom has announced the first major crossover for Monster Hunter Wilds, teaming up with Street Fighter 6 for a content-rich update launching May 28. The collaboration introduces a fully playable Akuma armor set for hunters and a Blanka-Chan costume for Palicos.
However, this upcoming update is not limited to cosmetics. Players can don the full Akuma armor and perform some iconic moves like the Gou Hadoken, Gou Shoryuken, and even the Raging Demon. Equipping the full set affects your weapon's performance and even introduces stun mechanics. Plus, the update adds a recreation of Street Fighter 6's Drive Impact system, which adds further depth.
In addition to Akuma, here are some more highlights from the upcoming update -
- New Quests: “Demonic Strength,” “True Strength,” and the high-rank “Ultimate Strength” (HR 21+)
- Palico Layered Armor: Get the Blanka-Chan outfit with gear customization
- Hunter Profile Additions: Players can unlock new backgrounds, nameplates, and poses On the paid side, Capcom is releasing a DLC pack that includes a Chun-Li outfit for the Handler, Cammy attire, themed emotes, and more.
Monster Hunter Wilds, launched in February for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, has already sold over 10 million units, with 8 million of those in just the first three days, making it Capcom’s fastest-selling game to date. Meanwhile, Street Fighter 6 is heading to Nintendo’s next console, Switch 2, with new modes, avatar battles, and wireless multiplayer.
