Aura Displays' Keyview 13” Touch differs from most other mechanical keyboards on the market, primarily due to two features. First, Aura Displays has incorporated an M.2 2280 SSD slot, which can be used to expand the storage of the connected PC. That said, SSDs only run at up to 625MB/s and are probably limited by the USB 3.0 connection in this case.
Second, the keyboard features a 13-inch touchscreen with a 24:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 1920 x 720 pixels, refresh rate of 60Hz and brightness of 300 nits. The IPS panel also comes with an anti-glare finish. The touchscreen's angle can be adjusted between 0 and 90 degrees, and according to Aura Displays, it’s practical for interacting with some professional applications, widgets, a browser and even messaging apps like Discord.
That being said, the mechanical keyboard is only offered with an ANSI QWERTY layout. Aura Displays combines yellow switches with PBT keycaps but does not specify the manufacturer or the specifications of these switches. Furthermore, the keyboard has RGB lighting and a rotary knob for controlling things like volume. It connects either via USB-C or a combination of HDMI and USB-A.
Price and availability
Aura Displays is currently selling the Keyview 13" Touch keyboard for $399 at its official online store. That price is expected to increase to $499 after the current promotion ends. Shipping to the US is free and takes 7 to 12 days. It’s not quite clear where the typing device ships from, so buyers might have to pay additional import duties or other fees, depending on their region.
