Marshmallow allegedly coming to Galaxy A3 (2016)
Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016) arrived back in December 2015 and only had Android 5.1.1 Lollipop installed. However, this affordable handset also came with the promise of a new firmware release that would bring it up to date. While the Marshmallow firmware for it is not available yet, it looks like this handset will get it soon.
SamMobile has just spotted a new version of the Galaxy A3 (2016) user manual on Samsung's Download Center. This updated manual now contains instructions on using the features that Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow contains, although there is still no hint on the release data of this new firmware.
Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow for the Galaxy A3 (2016) should bring the usual new features, such as Google Now on Tap or Doze mode, but an updated TouchWiz UI from Samsung should be included as well. Since the updates usually arrive a few days after the updated manuals become available, we will probably see the new firmware for the Galaxy A3 (2016) soon as well.
