Lenovo has confirmed that it still plans to release the 18 GB version of the Legion 2 Pro, its latest gaming smartphone. The flagship will launch for CNY 5,999 (~US$932), over 60% more than the basic Legion 2 Pro costs.

Lenovo will finally release the Legion 2 Pro with 18 GB of RAM this month. According to the company's Weibo account, the device will arrive on May 20 in black and white, the same colours in which it sells other Legion 2 Pro variants.

The 18 GB of RAM model also has 512 GB of UFS 3.1 flash storage, matching the 16 GB of RAM version. The Legion 2 Pro starts at CNY 3,699 (~US$575) in China, but the new 18 GB of RAM version will retail for CNY 5,999 (~US$932), 62% more than the entry-level edition.

All other features remain identical though, meaning that the CNY 5,999 (~US$932) model has a 6.92-inch AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 888 SoC and a 5,500 mAh battery. The Legion 2 Pro can charge at up to 90 W too, thanks to its two USB Type-C ports. Unfortunately, it is unclear if Lenovo plans to release this new model globally.
