An industry insider has prophesized that Blizzard will announce Diablo 2 Resurrected at BlizzConline, which is set to take place between February 19 and February 20. We could even some new Diablo 4 and Overwatch 2 gameplay at the online-only event.

Rumours of Blizzard and Vicarious Visions working on a Diablo 2 remaster have been around since early last year. Some time ago, Blizzard kicked things into high gear and tasked Vicarious Visions with developing first-party titles. A new leak from industry insider @Metro_OW (via Wccftech) on Twitter suggests that Blizzard could unveil Diablo 2 Resurrected on BlizzConline.

BlizzConline is set to take place between February 19 and February 20, 2021. As its name somewhat suggests, it is an online-only version of BlizzCon. Even if the Diablo 2 Resurrected reveal doesn't happen, we can rest easy knowing that we'll get another glimpse into Diablo 4. Although Metro has been quite accurate with his previous Blizzard-related speculations, it is best if we treat the information with some scepticism.

Other BlizzConline highlights could include some information on new Overwatch 2 and a yet-to-be-announced F2P title that may or may not require users to have phones. Diablo 2 Resurrected should keep die-hard fans on the franchise busy until Diablo 4 is released sometime in 2022. The chances of Diablo 2 Resurrected ending up like Warcraft 3 Reforged is low because it is being remade from scratch.
