A leak has confirmed that Samsung is planning to release its next smartwatch as the Galaxy Watch 3. The smartwatch will come in two sizes and will be joined by the Galaxy Buds X, which may be called the Galaxy Buds Live.

XDA Developers has uncovered several details about upcoming Samsung products in the Galaxy Wearable app. According to the website, the latest version of the app contains an image asset that specifically mentions the name "Galaxy Watch 3". Certifications published by NBTC and Indonesian Telecom corroborate this, as we reported a few days ago. These certifications point to the Galaxy Watch 3 being assigned the model numbers SM-R840, SM-R845F and SM-R850. Other certifications have confirmed that SM-R84x models will have a 41 mm watch face, while the SM-R85x versions will carry a 45 mm face, instead.

Moreover, the SM-R840 and SM-R850 will be Wi-Fi models. By contrast, LTE will be reserved for the SM-R845 and SM-R855. Samsung is expected to bring 5 ATM waterproofing and MIL-STD-810G certification to the Galaxy Watch 3, along with ECG and GPS functionality.

Additionally, the latest Galaxy Wearable app contains an image asset for a bean-shaped earbud. This is not the first time that we have seen an image of this earbud, with Roland Quandt having published multiple high-quality renders and images of the device in AprilXDA Developers states that the asset had the name "buds_live" in its filename, although this does not necessarily mean that Samsung will call the earbuds the Galaxy Buds Live. The company has trademarked the name Galaxy Buds X, which could well be a name for the earbuds too.

According to past rumours, these kidney bean-shaped earbuds will support active noise cancellation (ANC). There is no word on a release date for either these Galaxy Buds or the Galaxy Watch 3, though.
