Hypershell has announced the GoX, ProX, and CarbonX Exoskeletons enabling outdoor enthusiasts and mountain hikers to move faster with less fatigue while carrying heavier packs. These lightweight exoskeletons incorporate AI software to dynamically adjust boost according to changing terrain.

Hypershell has unveiled the GoX, ProX, and CarbonX Exoskeleton models for outdoor enthusiasts and mountain hikers. The AI-powered suits are worn around the hip and legs while powerful motors provide an extra boost so users can carry heavier packs and move faster without as much fatigue.

All three are powered by dual-CPUs that monitor the terrain and operator movement through 2 positions sensors and 4 force sensors. A 400 watt motor on the GoX and 800 watt motor on the ProX and CarbonX boosts the user's ability to move rapidly and carry heavy loads.

The 800 watt motor provides up to 22 pounds (10 kg) of assist when walking and up to 66 pounds (30 kg) of assist when climbing stairs or mountains. A normal person typically runs about 5 mph or so with the fastest sprinters reaching over 20 mph. A Hypershell wearer can expect boosted speeds up to 12.4 mph (20 kph) even up slopes.

The GoX and ProX models with aluminum magnesium frames weigh 4.4 pounds (2 kg). The CarbonX model utilizing carbon fiber weighs 4.0 pounds (1.8 kg). All three exoskeletons are powered by 100 Wh, USB-C fast-charging, hot swappable batteries for a range of up to 16 miles (25 km). The exoskeletons are designed for outdoor use with a IP54 rating along with an operating range from -14°F to 104°F (-10°C to 40°C).

Hypershell anticipates launching the Mountain Exoskeletons in June 2024, however since development is currently ongoing, specifications and launch date may change. In the meantime, gear up with a pair of top-rated, trail running shoes (like this one at Amazon) in preparation for your exoskeleton powered nature hike.
