HTC might officially announce its second tablet during a press conference

HTC might officially unveil its second tablet, the Puccini during a press conference in London on June 27th – as speculated by Planet Android. The German site says HTC did not exactly pinpoint the product, but said it will announce "latest addition to the HTC portfolio" during that conference.

HTC is expected to give a retrospective view on its success till date, apart from announcing a few new handsets and the Puccini.

The Puccini reportedly will sport a 10.1” WXGA 1280 x 800 pixels display panel unlike the much smaller 7” Flyer, and run a dual-core Dual Core Snapdragon 1.5 GHz 45nm MSM8660 processor. The MSM8660 might be multiple times faster than the older Snapdragon, while consuming about 75% less power. The tablet should come pre-loaded with Android 3.0.1. We expect HTC to provide the magic pen with this model as well, after it got a lot of attention when came with the Flyer.

HTC will get the 10.1” panels from AU Optronics and Wintek. Wintek stays common supplier between the Flyer and Puccini. We’ll have to wait till the conference happens to know about availability dates and price-range, although we believe, like the Flyer, the Puccini also won’t come light on your wallet.
