HTC Puccini hits FCC

Teaser
The Puccini finally seems to be ready for release in the US

Rumors of HTC’s second tablet – the Puccini were afloat even before the Flyer was released, but without any further spec leakage than the basic ones like the 10” screen size, a Snapdragon dual-core 1.5GHz chip and Honeycomb. Well no one even knew if these specs were confirmed or the tablet existed at all as there has been no official announcement that we know of! But now we have solid proof with us saying the tablet might be real after all. Netbooknews reports that HTC submitted the toy to FCC for approval. This takes the Puccini closer to release in the US market at least.

The tablet was speculated to be released last month at a press conference in London. But it never happened and the release reportedly has postponed indefinitely. This submission at least tells us that there sure will be a release, may or may not with the above mentioned specs. There is no speculation on the price as well, but if the price of Flyer is any indication – we might be looking at a very expensive piece.

HTC will get the 10.1” panels from AU Optronics and Wintek. Wintek stays common supplier between the Flyer and Puccini.
