GMKtec has teased a brand-new mini PC that will be a part of its growing EVO series, the EVO-T1. Unlike the EVO-X lineup, this new series appears to be for Intel-powered systems, and the EVO-T1 will be powered by the Intel Core Ultra 9 285H.
This top-end Arrow Lake CPU comes with 16 cores and 16 threads. GMK notes that the processor will be paired with 64 GB of memory, which will apparently allow the mini PC to run the DeepSeek R1 32B model locally.
Besides being able to handle complex AI tasks, the Core Ultra 9 285H should make the GMK EVO-T1 a decent gaming mini PC. To fill you in, this Arrow Lake processor has the Intel Arc 140T iGPU, which we found to compete well against the Radeon 890M of Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 in terms of performance-per-watt. The iGPU can also smoothly handle most AAA games at 1080p resolution.
Nonetheless, while GMK didn't share any further details of the EVO-T1, from the official teaser, it seems that the design will be slightly different than that of EVO-X2 (pre-order on Amazon for $1,499.99 with coupon). It appears to be a little more compact than the newly launched AMD mini PC, with a more rounded chassis instead of a boxy one.
The teaser image has also confirmed that the front will sport a Thunderbolt port, but it's not clear whether it will be Thunderbolt 5. As for the launch, it's set for July 2025, but it will be showcased at the GMKtec x Intel event scheduled for May 21. GMK is expected to share more details about the EVO-T1 in the coming days.
