Asus has announced the launch of two notebooks, namely the ExpertBook P3 P3405CVA and P3605CVA, which are powered by an Intel Core i5-13420H and an Intel Core i7-13620H, respectively. They both feature a 14-inch (P3405) and a 16-inch (P3605) display, each with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200. The panel reportedly only covers 45% of the NTSC color space and the brightness is specified at 300 cd/m². Each model comes with 16 GB of DDR5 RAM, which can be expanded up to 64 GB. An SSD in M.2 2280 format with a capacity of 512 GB is installed, while a second M.2 2230 SSD can be installed for easy storage expansion.
The port arrangement is the same on both models: there are two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports and two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports. Image output is possible via HDMI 2.1. For connectivity, Ethernet, WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 are supported.. The 63 Wh battery can be charged via USB-C with an output of 65 watts, thus eliminating the need for a dedicated power adapter. The larger model weighs 1.75 kg and the the 14-inch model 1.36 kg. Lastly, both models are MIL-STD 810H certified, providing protection against extreme temperatures, rain, shocks, humidity and more.
Prices for the base models will be around the $800 mark. Further information on prices will become available upon launch.
