The free games selection on Epic Games Store has been refreshed, and alongside making another free game bundle live, the storefront has revealed the freebies that will go live on September 18. This penultimate batch has a multi-award-winning title.

Epic Games Store is now offering three free games with a total value of over $60. To be specific, users can now grab The Battle of Polytopia, Ghostrunner 2, and Monument Valley 2 for $0 from the storefront, and this free game bundle will expire on September 18, 2025, at UTC 15:00.

Upon expiring, a new batch of free games will be available to claim, and as Epic Games Store has confirmed, the upcoming giveaway will offer two titles. One of the two is Project Winter, a multi-award-winning game from 2019 that was developed by Other Ocean Interactive.

Project Winter is an online survival and social deduction game where players get to take the roles of survivors or traitors. Put in a harsh arctic environment, survivors need to work together to gather resources and repair their settlements, while the traitors need to work to sabotage these efforts.

The game is known for its intense betrayal and deception dynamics, and the unique blend of survival mechanics makes the gameplay quite interesting. Project Winter is worth $9.99, and it currently features an 87% positive rating out of 4,700 Steam player reviews. However, it's worth mentioning that some players noted that the game's players can be toxic, and its mechanics can take some time to get used to.

As for the second upcoming free game on Epic Games Store, it's Samorost 2, which is worth $4.99. Released in 2009,  it's a relaxing point-and-click title from Anamita Design. Featuring hand-drawn visuals, the game is all about a small white-clad gnome whose dog gets kidnapped.

While the puzzle-adventure game is praised for its art style, musical atmosphere, and character design, some note that the story is underwhelming when compared to the first Samorost. It currently has an 88% positive rating that's based on 757 Steam player reviews. You can learn more about the upcoming Epic Games Store free games from the videos below.
