DJI Neo now official following unboxing footage leak

It may have taken a while, but DJI has now officially confirmed the existence of its next drone. For context, evidence of the drone has appeared countless times in the last few weeks. While many leaks focused on careless retailers that listed or mentioned the drone too soon, an unscrupulous YouTube channel posted full unboxing footage well ahead of schedule.

As expected, DJI's next drone will be the Neo, which is rumoured to weigh just 135 g. For reference, Jasper Ellens accurately predicted that the company would share a teaser today, which Igor Bogdanov duly leaked ahead of schedule. With that being said, pretty much all key features and specifications have already been revealed by numerous leaks.

Unusually, DJI has actually named Neo in its teaser; typically, the company shows an obscure image instead. At any rate, the DJI Neo will land on September 5 at 13:00 UTC with a rumoured €199 starting price. Incidentally, it seems that DJI's Action 5 Pro action camera will not be in attendance during next Thursday's event.
