Spyro 4 could be unveiled at the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase
According to recent rumors, Spyro 4 is set to be revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase on June 8, 2025. The claim comes from well-known leaker eXtas1s, who shared the news on his YouTube channel Fake Insider. He reports that the game is currently in active development and may debut with a first teaser trailer during the event.
There’s also speculation that Spyro 4 could launch directly on Xbox Game Pass and release for PlayStation 5. What makes the rumor even more intriguing is the claim that the project is being developed in close partnership with Xbox – despite Toys for Bob becoming an independent studio again in early 2024. The team was previously part of Microsoft following the Activision Blizzard acquisition. If true, this would suggest that the collaboration continues even after the split. Adding fuel to the rumors, the Spyro trademark was renewed in April 2025, sparking further fan speculation.
By the way: Alongside Spyro 4, rumors also point to a new project from Double Fine Productions, the studio behind Psychonauts. While details remain scarce, the prospect of a fresh title from the acclaimed developer has sparked excitement among fans of quirky, story-driven games.
