On September 8, Wildflame Studio released the first reveal trailer for Eggspedition – a title that captures the game’s concept in a nutshell. This survival shooter drops players deep into the jungle to recover dinosaur eggs under the grim rule: “No egg, no evac.” While the pun in the name adds a playful note, the trailer itself strikes a far darker chord, with eerie roars and looming shadows building a tense, horror-driven atmosphere.
The 90-second trailer offers a glimpse of the game’s shadowy jungle setting and teases the dinosaurs lurking within. It remains unclear, however, whether the footage represents actual gameplay or is purely cinematic.
Tactical co-op gameplay featuring diverse characters and unpredictable dinosaurs
Eggspedition can be played solo or in co-op with up to four players. Each mission is procedurally generated, with only the difficulty level revealed in advance. Teamwork is crucial – while one player carries the eggs, others scout ahead or provide cover. A PvP mode is also listed on Steam, though the developers have yet to reveal any details.
Players will encounter a range of dinosaurs, from velociraptors and pteranodons to the towering T. Rex. Each species has distinct hunting behavior and patrols specific territories. The AI governing these creatures isn’t scripted, making every encounter unpredictable and keeping the tension high throughout each mission.
While no exact release date has been set, Eggspedition is targeting a 2025 launch. If the blend of co-op action, horror elements and dinosaur threats piques your interest, you can already add the game to your Steam wishlist.
