Casio’s gold ring watch, the CRW-001G-9JR, is officially launching with pre-orders now open at a retail price of 22,000 yen (~$150), and a release date set for October 17, 2025. The model, which generated a lot of buzz over the past year alongside its silver sibling, is being sold by lottery through Casio’s official online store, with a lottery application window running from October 1 to October 6, 2025. The winners will be announced on October 10.
The CRW-001G-9JR is a compact digital watch designed to be worn as a ring. The gold-toned model is part of a unique family of Casio devices developed to celebrate the brand’s 50th anniversary. It features an all-metal (stainless steel, gold ion-plated) monocoque design, with the digital module, battery, and crystal in a waterproof, shock-resistant body. Despite its size, the CRW-001G-9JR gets you practical features such as time display (hours, minutes, seconds), dual-time, date, a stopwatch, calendar, and a lighting function optimized for the ring’s miniature 7-segment LCD display. Instead of an audible alarm, a light-based notification provides alerts due to space and sound limitations. The ring also fits most average men’s fingers (Japanese size 22), but includes spacers for smaller sizes.
As per Great G-Shock World, early inventory has proven hard to secure, with many retail outlets stating that their initial allocations have already sold out on the first day of reservations. Casio’s online lottery system is currently the only remaining route for most buyers, and final allocations will likely be very limited. More about the lottery application here.
As background, the gold CRW-001G-9JR has been highly anticipated in forums and Japanese media since sample images surfaced months ago. You can read more about our past coverage here.
