Archive.org versionThe ASUS N61Ja is a 16in notebook with a fast Core i5-430M CPU and a lot of modern features. With plenty of CPU speed, memory and hard drive space, the ASUS N61Ja is a great desktop replacement notebook. It even features a USB 3.0 port, which means you'll be able to run USB 3.0-based external hard drives at their maximum speed. We just wish the notebook had a backlit keyboard and a better screen.

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730: The HD 5730 is a higher clocked HD 5650 (and therefore not based on the desktop HD 5700 series). It does not support GDDR5 and therfore performs like a middle class graphics card with DirectX 11.
Non demanding games should be playable with these graphics cards.

430M:
The Core i5-430M is a middle class dual core CPU that features only 3 MB L3 Cache (compared to the I7-640M) and clocks between 2.26-2.53 GHz (Turbo Mode). Furthermore, VT-d, trusted Execution and AES features are missing in the 430M. Thanks to Hyperthreading, 4 threads can be processed simultaneously. An integrated graphics card (Intel HD Graphics with 500-733 MHz) and a DDR3 memory controller are also included in the package.
