Aqara has released the Camera G100 worldwide. This device was on show at CES 2025 at the start of the year, and is now rolling out alongside the Doorbell Camera Hub G410. It is the second outdoor camera from the brand, following the G5 Pro.
The Camera G100 is a 2K security camera with 140° wide-angle coverage. While users can manually adjust the angle of the camera, there is no dynamic panning feature. It features an integrated spotlight, with support for color and IR night vision. Remote controls are available through the Aqara Home app, and you can also get intruder alerts to your smartphone. Other tools include two-way voice communication and free local human presence detection. Those who opt for the HomeGuardian subscription gain advanced AI alerts tailored to pets, vehicles, packages and faces.
HomeGuardian subscribers also get free cloud storage with this service. Those who purchase the standard Camera G100 get one month of free cloud storage, while the Camera G100 Select comes with a three month free trial of this service. Alternatively, you can store clips locally with an up to 512GB microSD card. The security camera can integrate with Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Home Assistant. There is also support for Apple Home and HomeKit Secure Video, though the video resolution is capped here at 1080p. It is worth noting that this device is not Matter compatible.
Aqara's new security camera is suitable for outdoor use, with an IP65 dust and water resistance rating. This wired device can sit on a table or be mounted to a wall. You can now buy the Aqara Camera G100 for $34.99/£34.99/€34.99 at Amazon.
